166 people were killed as a result of ceasefire violations by the Ukrainian Army in 2019, authorities of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) reported on December 28.
According to the report, 159 killed people were service members of the DPR self-defense forces, while 9 others were civilians. 223 more people received injures. 69 of them were civilians. The report added that 4,895 people in the DPR died since the start of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
The DPR says that during 2019, the Ukrainian Armed Forces violates the ceasefire regime at the contact line with the DPR 4,943 times damaging 884 civilian buildings and 156 objects of infrastructure. The Ukrainian military employs 152mm and 122mm artilery guns, battle tanks, anti-tank guided missiles and 120mm and 82mm mortars.
