On September 9, at least 10 people were killed in roadside explosion targeting the convoy of First Vice President Amrullah Saleh in the Afghan capital of Kabul. At least 15 more people were injured.
The Vice President escaped the attack unharmed.
The Taliban denied responsibility for the attack. Earlier, the movement pledged not to launch attacks in urban areas under a peace deal with the United States.
ISIS cells freely operating in many government-controlled parts of Afghanistan remain the main suspect.
