In Numbers: Azerbaijani Claims About Armenian Losses In Nagorno-Karabakh War

Azerbaijan does not provide regular summaries of its claims on the alleged Armenian casualties and losses in the war in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, which started on September 27. Nonetheless, daily reports released by Azerbaijan allow to make a summary of the Azerbaijani claims on the situation. As of November 8, Azerbaijan claimed that Armenian forces lost 535 vehicles, 111 battle tanks, 170 artillery pieces, 63 rocket launchers, 6 S-300 long-range air defense systems, 34 short/medium-range air defense systems, 4 Su-25 warplanes and 28 UAVs. Since September 30, Azerbaijan has not provided updates on the alleged personnel losses of Armenian forces. However, the most recent number claimed in September was 2,300.
