In recent days, the Afghan Air Force has launched a series of attacks on Taliban targets.
The Taliban’s military positions were hit in Farah and Daykundi provinces.
As a result of the air strike in Gizab district of Daikundi province, 7 militants of Taliban were killed and 2 military bases were destroyed.
On December 28, 11 al-Qaeda members and two Taliban fighters were killed in an Afghan air strike in the Nawa district of Helmand province, where Al-Qaeda instructors allegedly trained the Taliban members to produce explosive devices. On December 26, the FBI reported the elimination of 15 Taliban and four al-Qaeda members in the same area.
On December 28, the Afghanistan Air Force pounded the Taliban positions in the Panjwai area in Kandahar Province.
The Afghanistan Air Force conducted airstrikes in response to the continuously increasing number of attacks on civilians and military forces. The explosions rock Kabul on a daily basis. For example, a bus with employees of the Central Statistical Office of Afghanistan was hit by an IED explosion in the capital. Responsibility for the attack was taken by the Vilayat of Horasan IS.
