  • The Iranian Navy continues routine counter-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden.
  • Frigate Admiral Grigorovich of the Russian Black Fleet held air defense drills in the Mediterranean Sea. The warship will make a port call to Limassol on May 8-9.
  • Anti-submarine destroyer Severomorsk of the Russian Northern Fleet completed the Bay of Biscay passage on May 6. On May 7, the destroyer was set to meet the tanker Vyazma and practice joint drill of liquid cargo transfer on the move.
  • On May 6, anti-submarine warfare ships Aleksin and Kabardino-Balkaria of the Russian Baltic Fleet held anti-submarine drills.

    Thanks for the update SouthFront. The Russian Navy also just recently concluded a joint exercise with the Chinese PLA Navy off of Shandong Province. Russian participation was one destroyer, two frigates, two corvettes, one submarine, one tanker and one landing ship. The Chinese PLA Navy also had eight vessels. They conducted live fire anti-ship, anti-air and anti-submarine drills.
