Israel Approves $1.5B For Preparations For Potential Military Strike On Iran's Nuclear Program

Israel has approved a budget of some 5 billion shekels ($1.5 billion) to be used to prepare the military for a potential strike against Iran’s nuclear program, Channel 12 reported.

The NIS 5 billion budget is made up of NIS 3 billion from the previous budget and an additional NIS 2 billion from the next budget slated to be approved by the government in November,

It includes funds for various types of aircraft, intelligence-gathering drones and unique armaments needed for such an attack, which would have to target heavily fortified underground sites.

The report comes days after the US Air Force announced that it had carried out a successful test of its new “bunker buster,” the GBU-72 Advanced 5K Penetrator.

According to Israeli media, the 5,000-pound bomb could be used as a tool to strike Iranian nuclear sites.

Crucially, the GBU-72 is designed to be carried by a fighter jet or a heavy bomber. The issue with the current generation of bunker busters is that Israel has no heavy bombers to carry the weapon, and they are hoping that the new one would allow their fighter jets to carry out the raids.

A smaller bunker buster bomb, the GBU-28, was secretly sold to Israel in 2009, though it is not thought to have the ability to penetrate Iran’s Fordo nuclear facility, which is buried deep under a mountain.

The American test was based on experience gained by Israel in its bombing of Hamas’s underground tunnel network in Gaza during May 2021’s hostilities.

Israel’s Channel 12 speculated that in publicizing its 35,000 foot-drop of the bunker-buster at Florida’s Eglin Air Force Base, the US is seeking to warn Iran not to stay away from negotiations at Vienna aimed at reviving the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi told the Walla news site that Israel has “greatly accelerated” preparations for action against Iran’s nuclear program.

Kohavi said that “a significant chunk of the boost to the defense budget, as was recently agreed, was intended for this purpose. It’s a very complicated job, with much more intelligence, much more operational capabilities, much more armaments. We’re working on all these things.”

Kohavi had publicly declared in January that the IDF was preparing fresh “operational plans” for a potent military strike, and in August that Iran’s nuclear progress has prompted the IDF “to speed up its operational plans,” with a fresh budget to do so.

In his speech at the UNGA, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett declared that “Iran’s nuclear program has hit a watershed moment, and so has our tolerance. Words do not stop centrifuges from spinning… We will not allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon.”

If Iranians weren’t helped by the West they would be annexed by the Soviet Union easily.

Zionist Delusions

LOL, time warp eh TOO FUNNY

The Iranian Shah was a front-man monarch installed for British Petroleum to ensure cheap western crude oil supplies. Rather like the al-Saud’s in Saudi Arabia. Only, the Iranian’s eventually bolted from the western imposed regime, and the western powers have been unbelievably furious ever since (as they lost control of Iran’s vast hydrocarbon assets).

Shah was pro-American. Khomeini was pro-British.

yeah, and I’m pro zartosht.

This all far predates any later Anglo-American politico-business distinctions, at time, early-mid twentieth century, British Petroleum was existing and dominant (Empire) company on ground, and a major transnational trading concern, with subsidiary business concerns across world, including crude shipments and imports to US companies.

And you?

Peppe il Sicario

Looks like China will be buying all that Iranian oil in the forseable future.

Ivan Freely

The Chinese are via that security trade deal of theirs.

Israel will sow a whirlwind and reap a Huricane…

Zionist Delusions

There is no way in hell the Zionists have the cajones for a total war with Iran, it will spell their end.

In return for their strike on Iran they would have dozens of ballistic missiles targeting zionist nuclear facilities. What is the point other than propaganda for stupid zionist squatters.

That would be the end of the Zionist regime. But is more hot air to goad the US losers into a swan song war.

Dennis Kovac

Hmmm! Who will protect Zionistan from iranian retaliation back with thousands misiles? UK, USA, France? …. Maybe this is propaganda from Zionistan to scare Iran. Even if 10% reached Zionistan it is enough.. USA must be involved in this, because Zionistan does not have capability to it itself… Several hundreds airplanes are needed to bomb all underground misiles bunkers and the rest dispatched across Iran.
Iran is stronger now then 1979… Hmmm this should be very risky attack even with USA support

Chris Gr

Russia, India, USA, France…

war is qualitative science not quantitative science stupid idiotic Islamic pig. can’t you learn from 1967 or the assassination of hazidasomethig, the nuclear scientist ? your thousands of rockets will not take off due to electromagnetic pulse radiation, meanwhile , a combination of earthquake mutation tested on greek coast last week and neuclear GBU-72 will pulverise fodsomething.

Then you wake up in your dumpster and realize the garbage truck has come to collect you.

Quantity has a quality all it’s own.

Peppe il Sicario

Israel approves eh? More like Israel went begging to its US slave-ally for more foreign military aid…i.e. death money.

Blah blah blah. I’m sick of hearing this same crap for 40 years.

This is just bull shit to control you and keep you occupied and in fear.
Just like the decades of nuclear war fear.

Israel’s reality is they don’t have any aircraft that can logistically travel to Iran and back without refueling mid-air, as it’s 2000km away. Iraq, that sits in the obvious direct pathway, is never going to give Israel permission for that. IAF cannot mange an aircraft based strike with their available technology – it’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Israel jets wouldn’t even make it to Iran. Even if they somehow come out successful, they will have a nice ballistic missile shower from Iran, Lebanon, Iraq and Syria.
If America or any NATO force intervenes, that will be the end of America and NATO forces in the ME.

I doubt this is real. America and NATO haven’t done anything to Hezbollah after kicking Israel ass, they know they will get embarrassed infront of the whole world if they try anything on the Axis of Resistance.

Chris Gr

Well, France and Germany for example cannot defeat Hezbollah? A 25.000 to 40.000 force with no airforce and no navy? Are you sure?

Icarus Tanović

Freedom is a right, and not privilege, come follow me, you mongoloid from special care, freedom is the right and not privilege.

Chris Gr

What Mongoloid? I am Mediterranean and Dinaric!

So you’re from the Balkans?

No proof, psycho!

Icarus Tanović

Proof? What proof? Everybody here knows that you are writing from broadmoor ward 5.
And I’m your doctor.

France and Germany wouldn’t dare go against Hezbollah. Israel is its neighbour and still failed from the air. How will France or Germany with no bases nearby be able to do any better?
Oh buddy, Hezbollah has an airforce. About 200k ballistic missiles and drones Air Force. Funny thing is, is that Hezbollah probably has something no one will expect them to have. Maybe be a missile that can hit further than Israel, but Hezbollah always tricks up its sleeve. Israel learned it the hard way in 2006, or should I say the Merkeva tank

Chris Gr

Where are the airplanes of Hezbollah?

Icarus Tanović

In my garage.

Why would Germany and France EVER undertake to attack Hezbollah in Lebanon? Seriously, of what benefit would it be to these European states? It would actually be ruinous for French international affairs in the region, being the former colonial power over Lebanon. It is only the US that seriously seeks to undermine Hezbollah, primarily acting on behalf of its regional client state Israel, and to lesser extent on behalf of another regional client state Saudi Arabia.

They can do it not only to protect Israel but also to protect Europe from the hordes.

Icarus Tanović

Shave your ass, mate.

Lazy Gamer

1.5billion is not much, so i guess this will probably be an anonymous strike instead of full scale war.
What happens after the first hour? Does Iran immediately launch a retaliation or does it take several days for an investigation then an approval by their councils? This will probably be the latter.
Afterwards, UN security council permanent members will call for deescalation. US will probably declare that it will stand with Israel. The US might launch a Powell presentation why the target was in breach of sanctions and international law. Iran will launch a presentation why it thinks the culprit is Israel and why the target is not in breach of intl. law.
Iran goes ahead and strikes 2 for 1 instead of hitting the whole country. Bennet’s ass is saved because of that.
Israel will probably say they will retaliate at the time and place of their choosing. End of open conflict. Beginning of intensified clandestine ops. lol
