I don’t know about you but a “former deputy head” is not what I call a NATO official. He is supposed to have said in an interview with Linke Zeitung somethong about 200 000 AFU fighters mysteriously disappeared. There is no link to the article where he makes this “statement”. This smells more gossip than real serious news.

Main losses of nazis not in Artyomovsk now, but at Donetsk direction, Avdeevka is under strikes with 1500 kg bombs, ~200 dead ones daily, same as at northern direction (Kupyansk-Red Liman in LPR). There is almost no movement, but nobody can say that only “Wagner” is going forward. Their zone of responsibility is Seversk-Soledar-Artyomovsk. Out troops came close to Kupyansk, this is beyond “Wagner’s” zone. Offensive is needed, though MoD didn’t announced it or any terms of start. I think it’s inevitable after taking next defense line Slavyansk-Kramatorsk, because there are no other such lines further, so long march to Dnepr is needed to siege other large cities like Dnepropetrovsk or Zaporoje.
According toe Prigozhin it is going to take months until Bakhmut comes under the control of Wagner. People that think Wagner is about to declare Bakhmut taken tomorrow or in a week better keep waiting because no such thing will happen.

A month ago it was quite reliable terms – few months to take. But last weeks were full of news about taken villages/towns and crossroads around Artyomovsk, so now it’s like days before collapse, because supply ways under fire and can be taken very soon. Transportation across fields of spring mud is impossible, even tanks can stuck here, wheeled cars, especially armored, will stuck 100%.

If there is an intention of Russia to launch an offensive, it will not do so now, because it is clear to everyone to what extent rasputita affects the maneuver of units. The winter is done and gone, there will be no more frozen ground, spring and dry ground are waiting. An important element of the offensive is surprise, and there won’t be much of it if they open a new front now and sit there for the next month waiting for favorable weather conditions.
