A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- On January 19, Russia reported that Idlib militants violated the ceasefire regime in Greater Idlib 17 times: 9 – in Idlib province, 3 – in Latakia province, 1 – in Hama province, 4 – in Aleppo province;
- On January 18, SDF artillery shelled positions of Turkish-backed forces north of Ain Issa;
- On January 18, unknown gunmen targeted a SDF position in the Shahil area with an RPG shell. No casualties were reported;
- On January 18, two YPG members were killed by an IED blast in the south of Hasakah city;
- On January 19, several people were killed and wounded as a result of explosion inside a weapons shop in the al-Jalaa street of Idlib city;
- On January 18, Turkish forces established a new military post in the town of Qastun.
