A brief overview of the recent developments in Yemen:

  • Ansar Allah revealed that in 2020 a total of 1087 members of the movement were released as a part of the prisoner exchange with Saudi-backed forces. 670 of them were released with the mediation of the United Nations, while 417 others – through the mediation of local elders;
  • On December 30, 26 people were killed and 84 others were injured in a rocket attack on Aden Airport;
  • The Liaison and Coordination Officers’ Operations Room (loyal to Ansar Allah) reported 134 ceasefire violations in al-Hudaydah during the past 24 hours;
  • On December 30, Saudi-led coalition warplanes conducted 2 airstrikes on the Qaniyah area;
  • On December 30, Saudi-led coalition warplanes conducted 3 airstrikes on the Zaher area;
  • On December 30, Saudi-led coalition warplanes conducted airstrikes on the Maheliyah area.
