On October 26, US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continued their successful operation on the eastern bank of the Euphrates and entered the oil fields of al-Tanak and Galban, according to pro-Kurdish sources. Earlier, the US-backed force reportedly established control over the oil fields of Azraq and Jarnof, Saban, Northern Omar, Maleh and Mqaat.

Thus, the SDF de-facto won the race for the oil and gas infrastructure located in the area with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

Pro-opposition sources reported that ISIS just handed over the al-Tanak oil field to the SDF within the framework of the previously reached agreement. No more details were provided. Most likely these reports are linked to the alleged SDF-ISIS deal reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) on October 22. According to this report, ISIS was set to surrender the entire area including Hajin village to the US-backed force.

Pro-SDF sources explain the situation with the top-class US air support and combat characteristics of SDF troops.

On October 25, the SAA liberated the Idustrial Area and a large part of Khassarat district from ISIS in the city of Deir Ezzor. Now, government forces are aiming to separate further Saqr Island from the rest of the ISIS-held area in Deir Ezzor. When this is done, the SAA and the NDF will be able to isolate the remaining ISIS units in Saqr Island and to clear it from the terrorists.

The separatist Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is facing hard times in Iraq. On October 24, the Department of Foreign Relations of the KRG released a statement asking for a ceasefire with forces of the Federal Government. In return, it promised to “freeze the results of [independence] referendum”, and asked for “an open dialogue between the Kurdistan Regional Government and Iraqi Federal Government on the basis of the Consititution.”

However, on October 25 and October 26, Iraqi forces advanced further in areas seized by KRG forces beyond the borders of the Kurdish autonomous region. Experts believe that the army and its allies will continue operation in the contested areas until KRG military forces fully withdraw from it.

The US does not deserve one drop of that oil. Perhaps the Iraqi and Syrian forces will chase out the Peshmerga.

Just like the Israeli theft of land, America will steal whatever they think they can get away with.

    • heydad

They don’t even want it, they are pumping plenty out of our gulfs and Texas. Much more about just not allowing the Syrian Nation access to it to prolong this struggle as long as possible. All geopolitical BS like usual. With the rhetoric coming from Zionist of another Lebanese invasion, they are using these proxies to buy as much time as possible, and funnel resources from western borders. Maybe long enough to get their F35’s bird proof.

  • Deo Cass

How cauld they win the race when they didn’t even move let alone run? The fields were occupied by ISIS terrorists and are still occupied by ISIS head chopping terrorists albeit with the different name of SDF. They are a legitimate target for the Syrian govrnment forces and their allies as they were before, and even as before because now they can taget all SDF formations sonce they are now all officially terrorists. Come on Syria, Hezbollah and Iran. Go and get them an ket the fireworks begin.

You son of a jewish bitch will cry when you find that Kurds have no route to move the oil they steal, what good is this for them? And how long do you think the turds can hold onto those fields against Iraq, Russia, Syria, and Turkey. You are really an idiot that does not see further than his long Jewish nose.

UNITED STATES ( and Israel) plays by its own RULES of DECEPTION, in the

Because overnight isis became SDF in that area

    • Freespirit

      They will do nothing, unfortunately.

I have been saying basically what you say, only using different words, for well over a year and I only continue to see, the forces of GOOD, backing down and submitting, the latest being the Buffer zone for Israel and the over 1000 Syrian civilians murdered in Raqqah with nary a word about it from Russia, Iran or even Syria for that matter. They call, this “doing nothing” – a STRATEGY, I am guessing……… at least according to many commenters who also think it is “strategy” :-(

You cannot use that kind of “strategy” with Psychopaths. Those mindless murderers ONLY understand and RESPECT FORCE, or at the very least, the THREAT of same..

DECEPTION by the Zionists is winning, on THEIR OWN TERMS ( gaining land, oil and DESTRUCTION of the Indigenous), and very few notice

DeZ city almost liberated. LOOKING GOOD!!! Victory to SAA and allies. Those damned oil fields will be dealt with later 😁 https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a2a9099833b5f4de2629b69a757d80d2aec8fad68c616b65d6639f82d1564e45.png

    • You can call me Al

The oil fields are not worth sh..it at the moment. Due to sanctions, they were degraded so much, the max oil produced would be 25,000 BLD, probably far less. There are other articles that state when ISIS left, they damaged it beyond belief.

      You are absolutely correct.

      • Lupus

Well i’d wish i have that amount in my backyard ofcourse but still stick to my opinion 😂✌

        • You can call me Al

Since I designed and installed the water injection plant on the omar field, maybe I have just that little bit of knowledge; what do you think ?

          • Lupus

No shit? Thats übercool man, my respect!

          • You can call me Al

            Cheers.

      • Boris Kazlov

You are correct, that oil is worthless without a route to export it., after Deir Ez Ezzor Syrian Tigers will deal with turds, and they are hungry.

  • ruhm rahm

To say they won the oil Fields is a misnomer. They didn’t fight for it. The ISIS Takfari scums were always on the payroll of the US government.. The Asad government is playing the long game and then cut of exports while Russia Will shut down the airspace..

    • Solomon Krupacek

so, then saa did nit win deur hafer and aleppo countryside?

  • Brad Isherwood

The Kurds have no Legal/UN contrived reality to keep the Syrian oil fields,…or Tabqa Dam.
US in their Assinine – Arrogance demand that Iranian Militias leave Iraq and Syria.
Well….Putin/Lavrov need to step up to UN level political action and demand US military leave Syria, and that Includes Kurd Syria or where ever SDF/YPG are off the rez in Syria.
Russia’s silence is tacit approval for US forces pushing Kurds around the game board, ..then justify US Airpower moving with them and protecting them,…while they steal Syrian territory.
Stupid deconfliction agreements secure the stealing. …and here,….SAA is very tenuous with
Military actions to confront the Kurds/YPG.
    курица. …koo reetz ahh. ….Chicken!

  • Same terrorists with a new name for the SAA to eliminate.

Why are the blocks across the screen ?.

Incredible speech by her, I must have missed where she did this speech, do you know ?.

  • chet380

    Possible scenario —

    1. The SAA finishes of D E-Z and Al M and moves many more military assets across the Euphrates.

    2. Russia, on behalf of Syria, brings a UNSC resolution demanding the SDF leave its sovereign territory or suffer military consequences. USA vetoes.

    3. At some point the SAA and SDF will confront each other .. if firing begins, will Russia provide air support? .. if NO, what are the SAA’s chances?

  • VGA

They had the huge advantage that the eastern side of the Euphrates is much less populated, so there is less resistance.

  • Deo Cass

Syrian can still get them if the Russians want. No need to control them. Just surround them as they did to Al-Tanf. There is still a large swate of avaliable terrotory on the Eastern shores of the Euphrates to be liberated near and around the oil fields. If Syrian strategists use their brains they would know how to surprise the Yanks and get to the other side without being even noticed, with the help of some friends I mean!
