On October 9, ISIS terrorists attacked Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) terrorists in northern Hama.

ISIS seized the villages of Jub Al Tabqalia, Abu Lafa, Nafila, Murjajib, Al Jumlan, Shakushiya, Wadi Zarub, Um Al Fawr, Hasrat, Rasm Al Ahmar, Sarha, Sarha Shamaliya and Al Mostariha.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) launched a counter-attack and reportedly retook a few villages. Clashes in the area continued into the next day.

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) will likely exploit this situation in order to clear the entire eastern Salamiyah countryside of the remaining ISIS units.

Last weekend, HTS seized Abu Dali village and al-Maqta’a Hill from the SAA in northern Hama. The terrorist group claimed that 97 SAA fighters were killed and that 20 vehicles, 6 battle tanks and an artillery gun were destroyed in the clashes.

Abu Dali village had been an important trafficking hub between the government-held and HTS-held areas.

The SAA and its allies took full control over Hatla al-Sharqiyah village and pushed towards Siyasiyah Bridge on the eastern bank of the Euphrates.

If government forces secure the bridge area, they will be able to further tighten the siege on ISIS units in the northern part of Deir Ezzor city.

Separately, clashes between the SAA and ISIS continued in the area of Mayadin City.

Reports appeared that ISIS is redeploying vehicles and fighters from the frontline against the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near al Suwar and al Khajjah northeast of Deir Ezzor city to the frontline against government troops on the eastern and western banks of the Euphrates.

The SDF has seized as-Sawah, Zughayr, Hawayij Bu Musah, Huwayj Duyab, Muhaymidah and reached the Deir Ezzor Industrial Zone from the northwestern direction.

Interesting announcment on al-Mazda that Jobbar Okeidi is forming an new mercenary division in Aleppo province targeting recruitment of my Salafist Brothers who mainly favour Akhundzada same as me because they see the rhetoric of IS as defunct, but Afghanistan is a long way away and the pay with FSA is much better anyway.
All my Brothers would give anything to be me, but I got two things things and they only got one, the one thing that they got is a ticket to Paradise the one that they haven’t is an audience to witness the event plus they don’t know that the Paradigm Prophecies exclude that happening, so they get whacked for a pittance and I get, yes exactly when is she going to turn up.

You are a nutcase, they have a ticket to hell ( sinfull assholes), many Hindu influences, there are not an Inquisition in the Islam for destroy the heretics?. Remember the two Malaj Hamavet ( angels of death) destroying Sodoma and Gomorra, imagine this time thousands of them. In the 7h punishment the earth will be ruined but not destroyed, Greetings

Conversion is legal for Christians that’s because we can only relate to non-believers using conceptual meanings denoted from prehistory as philosophy, the Qur’an is a philosophical derivative that concludes understanding if you read Fate in places which are designated as Allah, and then the consistency with Scripture is maintained, it was too hard to understand in this proper light prior to now, one example of extended understanding with the axiom being cognition as life developing continual improvement of Creation is the many Messengers, Sura Bees verse 36 quote “For assuredly we sent amongst every People a Messenger, with the command, Serve Allah, and enchew evil; of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some whom error became inevitability established. So travel through the Earth and see what the end was of those who denied the Truth”. end Quote.Travel through the Earth means read history.

How the hell did isis get through that much government controlled territory to attack HTS? did the SAA give them a lift.

    • Expo Marker

They likely sneaked through SAA territory. it would be most sour if the SAA helped its biggest enemy, even against HTS forces.

      • Ronald

There is no way SAA helped ISIS get to Idlib , they came up from Al Tanaf , with very good intel , avoiding SAA , road checks. The US has that type of intel , or ISIS has incredible drone intel . What seems more likely to you .

        • Expo Marker

The Al-Tanf rebels only went to al-Qaryatayn. These ISIS units must have bypassed the SAA. This has a negative impact on how the SAA will be percieved by outsiders, if the SAA let ISIS expand into Idlib under its nose.

The area south of this new ISIS pocket is rough terrain with very few villages.
So if SAA pulled back a few checkpoints along the road to let them move into HTS area, it sounds like a win-win to me. Perhaps Daesh remnants where tired of being bombed in Uqayribat pocket. :D

While its a possibility that the SAA and ISIS came up with a deal, I think the SAA smartly avoided fighting a desperate enemy, by not blocking their path to rebel held areas. While HTS / FSA and ISIS have a common enemy, it doesn’t mean they wouldn’t shoot at each other. This was an added bonus for the SAA/ allies.

that is US tactics, Russia and SAA kill ISIS, they dont support them like the US

      • Keith Smith

Like ISIS sneaking 3k fighters across open desert without US ‘knowing’ about it to retake palmyra?.. do me favour. US created ISIS, SDF are terrorists

    • Keith Smith

      ISIS join SDF

  • Sebastian Vicente

ISIS take positions with 70 fighters what resist SAA for 2 years, crazy thing but show the weakness of those lateral rebel defenses, they reach Janian almost (7kms of Abu Duhur) The rebels have not vigilance and fast reaction, 1 day after rebels counterattack, in a movile war 1 day is a defeat, obvious only in Idlib the rebels controls 788 villages ( They have supose 48000 fighters or less, letting a garrison of 10 guys in minor post, meanwhile they have HQ in Idlib, Saraquib, etc where they rape the cutie girl of the city or drink whisky, etc) They have gathering centers for response, the tiny garrison must hold an entire day or withdraw to the next village ( A mistake of the SAA is push the enemy and not cut the scape, an army achieves breaktrough and the rebels lose all (open to the sides the attack for let the penetration reserve defeats and reach the point what do you want, in this case Abu Duhur and next Saraquib are in a 18 kms radius, dislodging and panicking the rebels).

  • Keith Smith

If SDF ‘lose’ ground, might slow up SAA retaking it. ISIS fighters just joined SDF. thats how SDF make such quick progress, and ISIS use SDF territory to move troops to attack SAA. It cannot go on for very long once ISIS are gone, Russia have to wipe SDF out quickly when it starts

  • Kell

Frustrating position for the SAA after all their good work of late.
