Syrian Forces Took Full Control Of Douma - Russian Military

A photo from Douma

Syrian forces have taken full control of the district of Douma thus liberating the entire Damascus subrub of Eastern Ghouta from militants, Chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing parties in Syria Yuri Yevtushenko announced on April 12.

“Today marked a landmark event in Syria’s history. The state flag was hoisted on the Douma building which signaled [Damascus’] control over this settlement and, hence, over all of Eastern Ghouta,” Yevtushenko said.

He added that units of the Russian Military Police will be deployed in Douma following its liberation to maintain law and order during its transitional period to come under control of the Syrian government.

Syrian Forces Took Full Control Of Douma - Russian Military

On April 11, Yevtushenko revealed that about 4,000 militants and their family members had left the city during the past day. These militants surrendered over 400 pieces of weaponry, including large-caliber machine-guns, grenade launchers, sniper rifles and assault rifles. In total, over 3,354 members of Jaysh al-Islam and 8,642 members of their families had been evacuated from Duma district since the evacuation agreement was reached on April 8.

Since late February, over 165,000 people have left the Eastern Ghouta combat zone and at least 250 hostages held by militants have been freed.

Tne liberation of Douma and thus Eastern Ghouta is a key development for the military conflict in Syria. Now, Syrian forces will be able to free up a large number of troops and equipment that can be involved in the operations across Syria. The ISIS-held area of Yarmouk in southern Damascus and the militant-held parts of eastern and southern Syria are obvious targets of such oeprations.

Some experts say that this is one of the main reason behind the expected US agression against the Syrian government. This is just a way how the US leadership reacts to the shifting balance of power in the region.

Putin chickens out. Disgusting. We don’t deserve this humiliation.

  • Nigel Maund

This very good news! Well done to the SAA and Russian and Iranian advisers!

Yesterday Mr. Putin called to Netanyahu that look Syria is my ally and if you attack Syria again then I will fuck you. Keep yourself away from Syria.

    • Merijn

Congratulated…America will back off soon….may Victory come swift…

US, UK and France regularly slapping Muslim rulers on their faces but they are so moron that they don’t feel it. Obama called to Zardari that I will attack Pakistan but then they quickly ran to Putin for defence. Recently PM of Pakistan visited US where he has been searched at airport like an ordinary visitor. Stupid can never be wise until they change themselves.

Putin chickens out. Russian MoD expects to get coordinates of the targets from Pentagon. Gazprom will also negotiate gas transit through Ukraine. Disgusting. We don’t deserve this humiliation.

Whatever ties to reactionary Israelis will contribute to US foreign policies, USAmerican lunacy does not depend on it.

It is high time for ordinary USAmerican people to wake up and take responsibilty for the massmurderous crimes done in their name by the whole of their establishment, whose pathological suprematist understanding of the world has always been enshrined in the ideologically shaped minds of their WASP elites.

It is the US as such, and US the ideological structure of US-supremacy, which is the biggest threat to world peace. Projecting it on foreign people, is miserable and only proves that USAmericans refuse to think and act as adult people who have the spine to face what their country and they themselves have become.

        • I don’t see Mail.ru story that supports your theory.

So they will allow again to kill allies?

          • I don’t think so. Russia made that mistake in Serbia, and again in Libya. You know the saying, Third Times a Charm?

Any shrinking back would indeed be
fatal here. To quote an article by Rainer Lautenbach in Junge Welt, a
journalist close to the party Die Linke.

He first writes that it was striking
that your rulers left the announcement that they would hit back in
case of a US attack and destroy the source from which it was sent, to
a second rank diplomat. Not speaking out himself, would leave Putin
the room not to retaliate. He then continues:

            „With this US-American threat of
attack, more is at stake than simply Putin’s personal reputation,
which is trust in Russia’s deterrence potential, as the only device
to stop the fury of war, that has, to quote a phrase by Bertolt
Brecht, put on new rouge recently.

On the other hand, the credibility of
the US’ escalation potential is in danger too. If Russia achieved to
shoot down a huge number of Cruise Missiles, the US’ strategy of war
from a safe distance is ruined. Then Washington would need to
reflect, whether they will confront their population with the
prospect of a vastly increased number of corpses wrapped in Stars &
Stripes in further wars. Should the US be capable of conducting
attacks without sacrifices, it would be a desaster for Putin. We all
can only hope fervently that he did not bluff on the 1st March this
year and that his arms would really be a very bad surprise for the
west, if they should seriously intend to escalate till the bitter
            end.“

Everything depends on the fact, that the US, as core of the
problem, grasps once and for all, that they are not invulnerable, but
have to deal with a serious opponent that could inflict on them what
they do to others. If that cannot be achieved, there will be only two
alternatives: Either we all will be plunged in a World War between
nuclear powers, which could be the end of humanity, or Russia will
face complete destruction, plunge in an abyss of chaos like Lybia,
and break up. With a burning ME, north Africa in turmoil and Russia
broken, Europeans would, of course, suffer the same fate. It seems
that our politicans have not the mental capacity to simply look at a
map of the world and imagine realistically what the collaps of that
huge space around us whould mean. Intelligent people have long been
            bullied off.

It is a desaster that the situation is what it is, and it really
drives me enraged and desperate. However, it seems that world peace
now depends on your government’s having the guts to force lunatics to
make their very first encounter with reality.

        • NATOcracy

The US would already bomb the sh!t out of Syria if there was no Russia.
The missiles would be already flyin…

        • Anja Boettcher

It seems that one of your compatriots
here, could not understand why I supported your apprehension that
your government might shrink back from the provocation, assuming I was a brainless bravado, while it is all pure logic.

I cite an article by Rainer Lautenbach in Junge Welt, a left journalist in a left newspaper which is closeto the party Die Linke.

Lauterbach first remarks that it wasstriking that your rulers left the announcement that, in case of a USattack on Syra, Russia would hit back and destroy the source from which it was sent, to a second rank diplomat. Not speaking out himself, would leave Putin the room not to retaliate. To explain why this was fatal, Lauterbach explains:

„With this US-American threat ofattack, more is at stake than simply Putin’s personal reputation.
What is at stake is Russia’s deterrence potential, as the only device
to stop the fury of war, that has, to quote a phrase by Bertolt
Brecht, put on new rouge recently.

On the other hand, the credibility ofthe US’ escalation potential is at stake too. If Russia achieved to shoot down a respectable number of Cruise Missiles, the US’ strategy of war from a safe distance is embarassed as well. Then Washington would need to reflect, whether they now care willling to make their population swallow the sight of a considerably increased number of corpses wrapped in Stars & Stripes in further wars. Should the US be capable of conducting attacks without sacrifices, it would be an embarassment for Putin. We all can only hope fervently that he did
not bluff on the first March this year and that his arms would really
be a very bad surprise for the west, in case they should seriously
intend to escalate to the bitter end.“

None of these despicable European MayMacronMerkel-zombie
politicians plays any serious role in the business. Everything
depends on the fact, that the US, as core of the problem, grasps once and for all, that they are not invulnerable, but have to deal with a serious opponent that could inflict on them what they do to others.
If that cannot be achieved, there will be only two alternatives:

map of the world and imagine realistically what the collaps of that
huge space around us whould mean as well for us. However, while
intelligent people can imagine vividly what this would lead too,
people with that degree of intelligence have long filtered out of our
          governments.

It is a desaster that the situation is what it is, and it really
drives me enraged and desperate. However, it seems that world peace now depends on your government’s having the guts to force lunatics to make their very first encounter with reality.

When this dance is over, ukraine will cease to exist and become part of russia as it always been. As for you been humiliated….. you dont need help, you do fine by your self and your limited brain cells between your ears.

    • schiamachy

Source please Sergey? Why is it a humiliation to negotiate gas transit through Ukraine? Are you saying Russia should bomb its way through Ukraine in American style? Also how do you know Russia will get coordinates of targets from the Pentagon and even if it were true surely it sounds like it is Trump who is chickening out. I suspect your making it up because unless you are hacking the Pentagon how can you know?

      • velociraptor

HAHAHA, for your imbecile ruskiefans everything is brutal good, wat russia makes. if stop transit via ukraine, is mother russia brave. if does not stop transit via ukraine, mother russia is clever.

So far I see tweets from Trump that says that he never said when he will strike “not soon at all”.

      • Anja Boettcher

Living in a European Nato-country and being tortured by this Nato-controlled anti-Russian and Goebbels-like media propaganda for four years now, I can only assure you that transatlanticist journalists celebrate triumphantly Putin’s last reconciliatory appeal that everybody should stay sane, parotting US policicians like Pompeo, who said that pressure on Russia should be increased, as your country would not understand any other language.

They do not even care that more than 90% of the people here think that their own politicians and media have turned completely insane.

US and Nato elites can no longer be stopped by anything but a rough awakening. They will escalate up to the point of a big war, unless they are forced to grasp with a rough military reaction, like having a complete frigade drowned by a superior missile system, that they could face a mess.

They see that your president does not want confrontation, and provocations won’t stop.

Even here most people think that only a tough attitude of your government can save world peace. We are under control of complete lunatics.

        • Tudor Miron

I’ll repeat what I posted alswhere. Bear doesn’t bark. It is mostly quiet and peaceful beast. We would not attack first but if we’re attacked we’ll respond and God save this world please because it’s the same as shooting at each other inside the plane at high altitude. Shooting and throwing grenades.

          • Anja Boettcher

We know that the Russian government would never attack first. Even in most European Nato-countries (apart from Poland) most people see your country and not their own lunatic governments as anchor of peace.

However, Nato lunatics think they can pinch you with needles increasingly aggressively, until they will reach a point of no return.

They do not believe that warnings are meant seriously.

Therefore either they will be given a demonstration that they will get burned themselves, if they proceed (in this case I mean the US, as their European vassals have neither any regard for their own countries nor their populations), or we will all end up in desaster.

          • Tudor Miron

Yes, you do have a point. Lets see how it unfolds.

          • Anja Boettcher

Well, as hope never dies, all sane people will hope for the best, which would be the return of reason in the west, and peace for all of us.

However, sofar there is no indication of anything of that kind.

    • Anja Boettcher

Nope, Russian definitely people don’t – and given that by now more than 90% of Germans are hostile to the Nato war-mongering Lunatic States of America, we do not deserve these zombie traitors in Berlin – who are willing to wind themselves in every available USAmerican criminal’s bottom.

NATO bitterly refuses to allow the Syrians to celebrate their victory in East Ghouta, or for the world’s media to focus on the militant’s complete collapse there – NATO are completely overshadowing this news with hysteria and escalating threats to militarily strike Syria – all over unsubstantiated allegations from the militant affiliated White Helmets. NATO are bad losers writ large.

This has been a been a very bitter last two weeks for Israel and their ZOG of the US. Two critical things happened, the loss of their largest terrorist enclave near Damascus, and the freeing up of many Syrians troops for other operations. The more Syria succeeds the closer Hezbollah is to give Israel their undivided attention. There is a the faint sound of bells and Israel knows they toll for them.

  • Kell McBanned
