UPDATE: The ban  appears to have been taken only against a pro-Iran media account allegedly  linked to the Iranian Supreme Leader’s office: @khamenei_site.

The main accounts of Ali Khamenei in English and Persian remain active because they did not post the controversial poster.

Twitter suspended the account of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei after he had posted what appears to be a call for an attack on Donald Trump in revenge for last year’s killing of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani.

The post featured an image of a man resembling the former US president playing golf in the shadow of a large drone.

“Vengeance is inevitable,” it reads.

So now, both Khamenei and Trump seem to be suspended on Twitter.
