Ukrainian SBU Uses Fake Vacancies From ‘Russian Private Military Companies’ To Detain People: LPR

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) uses fake vacancies from “Russian private military companies” to detain servicemen of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), a representative of the LPR military Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko said during a press briefing on May 23.

According to Marochko, these fake vacancies mentioned such the following names of the alleged “Russian private military companies”: Wagner, MAR, Pheraks and the Alians-MSB agency.

“In the reality, these ads don’t have any connection to real PMCs. They are just attempts of the Ukrainian side to chouse LPR’s people and arraign them on a criminal charge”, Marochko said.

Marochko stated that LPR’s militia identified electronic traces proving the link between these fake ads and the SBU. According to his statement, the SBU was spreading hundreds of fake ads via social media and emails.

“The command of the SBU in Chernihiv Oblast – faked PMC Vagner, the command of the SBU in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast – faked PMC Pheraks, the command of the SBU in Cherkasy Oblast– faked PMC MAR, the command of the SBU in Lvov oblast – faked PMC agency Alianz-MSB,” Marochko said.

Marochko mentioned a former serviceman of the LPR Grigory Kazmin, who had become a victim of this special operation of the SBU. The SBU allegedly motivated Kazmin to come to the territory under the Kiev control, stressing that he needs an international passport to travel abroad. Then, he was detained by the SBU in the Kiev-held settlement of Mayorsk, Donetsk Oblast.
