'West' wants to alienate Putin from Russia and its people

Written by Ahmed Rajeev exclusively for SouthFront

This year the new waves of defaming Vladimir Putin and his associates are being unleashed by the West. British started it with Litvinenko case, where a British public inquiry accused Russian President Valadimir Putin for “probably” approving the Murder of Aleksandr Litvinenko, who died from radioactive poisoning in 2006. Now the latest one revolves around a BBC report in which an alleged US treasury official Adam Szubin said that US government had known Mr Putin was corrupt for “many, many years”.

Adam Szubin told in BBC panorama interview, “We’ve seen Mr. Putin enriching his friends, his close allies, and marginalizing those who he doesn’t view as friends using state assets, whether it concerned Russia’s energy wealth or state contracts. To me, that is a picture of corruption.”

Both cases of demonizing Putin and his associates were refused and rebuked by Kremlin. Many analysts suggested that Britain had more motivations to kill Litvinenko than Kremlin. Russian Foreign Ministry also dismissed the British report, blaming London for politicizing the “purely criminal” case of Litvinenko’s death.

Regarding the corruption allegation by an US treasury official, Kremlin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the allegation was an “official accusation” and a “total fabrication”.
But Vladimir Putin once said, “I am the wealthiest man, not just in Europe, but in the whole world. I collect emotions. I am wealthy in that the people of Russia have entrusted me with the leadership of a great nation such as Russia – I believe that is my greatest wealth.”

Since the west is losing ground in world diplomacy, it wants to destroy the center of the opponent. And the opposition center now is in Russia, in Moscow, precisely in Kremlin and very precisely in Vladimir Putin. If the west wants to shatter BRICS, OBOR and Eurasian Union, the power of Kremlin should be regulated soon.

Militarily, western proxy forces are retreating from the warzones of the Middle East. The western diplomacy burdened with structural crisis fails to accomplish its geopolitical objectives. It failed in Ukraine, in Syria and regarding Iranian nuclear deal. The winning team diplomacy is being led by Vladimir Putin.

Therefore, west seeks to change and contain its opposition system with a new design. And the design is to defame, degrade and demonize Putin to its people and abroad. The west has a list of alleged Kremlin elites, according to Stratfor they are Putin’s inner circle of Kremlin.

Stratfor suggested some key figures related to putin’s Kremlin power circle. It named Sergei Chemezov, Vladislav Surkov, Ramzan Kadyrov, Sergei Shoigu, Igor Sechin, Sergei Naryshkin, Nikolai Patrushev, Sergei Ivanov, Sergei Sobyanin are Putin’s closest associates. However, Stratfor also mentioned, FSB, Russian Armed forces, FSO, GRU, MVD, Investigative Committee, Rostec, Rosoboronexport and Russian Orhtodox Church as Putin’s operation tools.

So, in coming days the west and their local partners will put more dirt on those above mentioned individuals and agencies in order to alienate them from the general people.

Previously in many cases we have seen that the west demonized many popular leaders with their mainstream media apparatus. To defame a popular leader the west always portrays the person as corrupt and ruthless killer with a medieval intention to oppress people. The false accusation against a popular leader is usually intended to give fuel to the opposition parties and to create international suspicions. So a corrupt and killer Putin is most dangerous for its people. Some analyst assumed that Russian opposition political parties and opposition media will use this western propaganda of a villainous Putin in their public relations. At the same time any potential hatred in Russia against Kremlin will be well covered by the western media to favor oppositions. To create a crack in Putin’s popularity, which is nearly 90%, and by nurturing the crack time to time for a political uprising against Putin in his own country is the long term goal. The western propaganda against Putin is also aimed at terrorists operating around the border of Russia. Terrorists will hunt for new recruits with the western propaganda that Putin is a corrupt killer. We saw in many times in the past that US-led west falsely accused several leaders to create a local upsurge of hatred on them and later the west supported those insurgent groups militarily to wage wars against the rulers. And now west targets Putin and his associates in same manner.

The reader must remember that the west jumps into demonizing Vladimir Putin and his associates to reclaim their global importance, when Russia has been trying to recover its economic hardship by exploring new opportunities with the outer world, when the Syrian crisis shows a light of settlement which diplomatically involves all warring parties on the table, when the oil price is going lower than decades, when globally popular Putin’s domestic approval rating is record highest, when Russian-led forces are winning in Syrian war, when Russia appears firm against focus shifting from terrorist, when Erdogan is accused as a terrorist sponsor, whey Turkey is becoming a ground of civil war, when migrant crisis is disintegrating European Union, when the worlds structural crisis deepens more.

However, all the western plots are being disclosed and thwarted by pragmatism of Russian leadership since it was obvious to them that historically, the west carries old doctrines of hostility against Russia and by this time Russia is mature enough to tackle western propaganda against the country.
